Greetings all, myname is Eric and I live in Louisville, Kentucky. My wife found this community for me and I must say that I am suprised that there is a forum for us cooks and I am glad to be part of it. I was born in Johnstown, PA and was raised in Florida. I have been cooking for the past 22 years mainly in corporate restaurants, but now I work in a hotel...(yipee!!). I love to cook and try new dishes from around the world. Currently I am working on a family cookbook and hope to get it published soon. I also enjoy fishing and working on my family tree. Hope to hear from some of you in the community and would love to share recipes. Just drop me a line and have fun.
Welcome to the community. I'm glad your wife found us.
Are you planning to self publish your cookbook? There are a lot of publishing options these days and I'd definitely be interested to know what route your taking and why.

Hi,
I just found this site via StumbleUpon!
My name is Heidi, and I am a lucky girl living in a beautiful ski town! I've recently started a site Savory Tv, which is chef recipe videos, and my goal is to make gourmet cooking less intimidating , as well as to help out some of my chef friends!
I am Ryan Boudreaux, aka Cajun Chef Ryan (CCR) and found GCC today from one of my "friends" over on FoodBuzz.com. Checked it out and decided to join in on the GC Community!
I started out my Cajun Chef Ryan food blog in May of this year as a tool to document my culinary, family, cooking and food heritage, in addition to the 21 years of restaurant experience that is locked up in my head.
While I am no longer a true restaurant professional, I still have a passion for food that will never die. I will always be known as a chef to those who knew me when I was making a living as one, and I always have been and will continue to be a chef in my heart of hearts.
I started cooking when I was 13 years old, and started work in the restaurant industry as a culinary apprentice in 1983 and grew through various positions and organizations. I ended my production culinary career in 2000 as a Food and Beverage Director at a country club and also worked for 3 years in the front office for Emeril's Homebase, LLC in New Orleans, LA working in the Technology Department until Katrina hit the city in August, 2005.
Professionally I am a full time web developer now for a government agency and also develop my own web sites, as well as some for other clients that I assist as a side job.
Currently I am also developing a series of spice mixes, sauces and dressings and working on having them put into professional jars and bottled at a local facility for mass distribution soon.
Hope to meet many new friends here and learn more too!
