Ingredients:
Tofu-100 gms
Chickpeas -200 gms
Basmati rice-2 cups
Mustard seeds-1 tsp
Chopped onions-1 cup
Chopped tomatoes-1/2 cup
Ginger garlic paste-1 tbs
Turmeric powder-a pinch
Garam Masala-1/2 tbs
Cummin-1 tsp
Cloves-3 nos
Cinnamon-2 nos
Green chillies-2
Coriander powder-1/2 tbs
Oil-As required
Salt-As required
Coriander leaves to garnish
Method:
Fry the tofu in oil for few minutes.Cook the basmati rice .Soak the chickpeas in water overnight and boil it with salt the next day and set it aside.In another pan pour oil ,put the mustard,cloves,cummin,turmeric powder, onions and cinnamon.Saute it for few minutes.Then to it add the ginger garlic paste,green chillies,tomatoes and garam masala.Pour little water to it followed by salt.Let it boil for 5 minutes.Now add the tofu and the chickpeas to it and stir slowly,let it boil for 5 more minutes.Then put the rice into it ,mix it gently.Sprinkle some pepper on it (optional) .Garnish it with some coriander leaves.It would taste delicious with french fries ,brinjal koths or raita.
